Start with the application
For tahini, ask for hulled sesame samples and evaluate them in your own process. Compare colour, aroma, taste and the resulting paste. For bread toppings and bakery products, define seed appearance and whether your recipe needs hulled or natural seeds. Your process trial determines suitability.
Agree the specification before comparing prices
Request the same set of parameters from each supplier: purity, moisture, oil content, foreign matter and any required microbiological or pesticide-residue tests. A high purity number alone does not establish food-safety compliance. Match the quotation, sample and batch report to the agreed specification.
Evaluate the sample and actual lot
Record the sample reference, date and evaluation result. Before committing to bulk supply, confirm which lot will be supplied and which tests apply. Testing requirements depend on the destination and the buyer; discuss them before accepting a quote or paying an advance.
Confirm packing and order size
Share bag format, required net weight, pallet requirements and destination. Trial orders are welcome; the minimum quantity and freight arrangement are confirmed by quotation. For repeat supply, share your production usage and reorder cycle.
Separate dispatch from delivery
The sesame dispatch target is normally 7 days after the advance reaches our account, with grade, packing, availability and requested tests agreed beforehand. Transit and destination clearance are additional. Use the agreed shipment schedule when planning production stock.
